A leading mining company with a portfolio of world-class metals operations across Australia and overseas currently seeks a Group Electrical Engineer to join their head office maintenance & engineering team.
In your exciting new opportunity, you will be responsible for providing electrical instrumentation and control support to group operations, delivering continued improvement and productivity. Your accountabilities will include developing standard mandated management plans specifying group engineering standards & practices, manage business risk from loss of key equipment performance, develop & reliability strategies, improve the capacity and capability of EIC across the group, provide discipline leadership and specific technical support to operations across higher risk asset and electrical projects.
This exciting permanent role is capital city based in East Coast Australia with frequent ad hoc domestic and international travel as required. An attractive remuneration package including incentives is provided. As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified electrical engineer with a strong and extensive track record in the leadership of the electrical instrumentation & control function for significant hardrock operations. You will have proven technical experience in the maintenance of mining fixed plant EIC including wrap around mill motors, HV motors, gearless drives and protection settings.
