Webdrill - Company Update

It has been 9 months since we last published an article and a lot has changed since then. It was fast paced then, and it is still fast paced now. RIG07 is almost out of the workshop, contracted and off to work. RIG08, RIG09, RIG10 and RIG11 are in the build schedule and due for delivery.

"what's happened in the last 9 months"

Our team has doubled from 25 in August of 2019 to 55 in May 2020 and still growing every day.

Most of the growth has been in our Operation's team out in the field as Offsiders and highly experienced Diamond Drillers. We are extremely grateful for the talent we have and continue to make Webdrill the employer of choice within the industry.

At Webdrill we believe that each team member is a part of our work ‘family', we care about our talent and understand the challenges of FIFO life first-hand as Sheree and I have lived it. We take pride in the way we approach these challenges by always reminding the team that family comes first. We accommodate and nurture our talent with family friendly rosters and ensure that the team feel appreciated and supported in all aspects of what they do both on site and at home.

Whilst dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic, we have really transformed and grown even stronger as a work community. We have done our best to support the families of our employees by setting up a support network, set the business up to work remotely, implemented and executed digital planning days as well as remotely touching base every day in our huddles with our Head Office Team and Supervisors. We believe that good consistent communication between all areas of the business is key to our success and a great way to continue working as a business through these times without losing sight of our mission.

We have not seen these changes as challenges but as opportunities to adapt, pivot and grow so that moving forward we have the systems in place for any condition that comes our way. We recognise that digitalisation is key to allowing efficiency into our operations daily and keep us connected.

"what's in the pipeline moving forward?"

We are in scale mode, which is an exciting time, we are working on the next builds of our Epiroc Smart rigs and are always collaborating with their engineers. Focused on constantly improving ease of function "safety", ease of maintenance and obviously more power. Whilst we continue to improve on the design and functionality of the machine's, we also work with the site teams to continue upskilling our talent in their roles. We understand that the Operator on the rig is key to the machine's overall performance and ensure that our Drillers have all the necessary training to work safely, efficiently and with a sense of purpose.

We are continuously making new modifications that end up being a full fleet upgrade.

RIG10 will be the first of our new Epiroc S2 MCR's which we are customising to suit our own requirements.

We are continuing to see expansion in our client base and are working with some notable companies who share our values of open, honest, and transparent relationships. With this we have had new opportunities to assist and support our clients through their pain points.

We have successfully drilled and completed high pressure toxic gas holes, shear drilling with grout and advance techniques, directional Navi drilling and cave tracker system installations.

This has expanded on our arsenal of skills in difficult ground and given our clients piece of mind in every scope.

Webdrill is a company focused on fast, accurate results with immaculate core presentation, managed and lead by drillers, that is the difference.
