The prospect currently features over an area of 550m by 150m and includes multiple mineralised drill intercepts including 8.3m (true width) grading 3.4% nickel.

While the "surface" is at about 400m depth, it is only 90m from established infrastructure - being the newly developed Long-Durkin North Incline (which connects the two previously separated Long and Durkin North operations).

Two diamond core rigs continue to drill in the general area.

A resource estimate is being targeted in June.

Mincor is becoming a nickel producer again in Kambalda region after a number of years on the sidelines, with first delivered to the BHP's nickel concentrator last month.

The company initially acquired its nickel interests in the region about 21 years ago.

Shares in Mincor were up 3% to $2.10 in morning trade, capitalising the company at $1 billion.
