The most prestigious award is the AMEC Prospector Award, which recognises an individual or group of individuals that has made a significant contribution to exploration.
There are three finalists this year: David Richards and Jamie Day for the Liontown Resources' Kathleen Valley lithium and tantalum deposit, Dr Kevin Frost and Morgan Frejabise for the Chalice Mining's Julimar polymetallic project, and Brad Cox and Chris Raymond for Aeris Resources' Constellation copper deposit.
The finalists for the AMEC Community Contribution Award are Australian Potash, OZ Minerals, Image Resources and Atlas Iron.
The finalists for the AMEC Environment Award are Deepcore Drilling, IGO and EQ Resources, while IGO is also a nominee for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Empowerment Award alongside Fortescue Metals Group and Fenix Resources.
The Diversity and Inclusion Award finalists are Bellevue Gold, Mineral Resources, Ravenswood Gold, and McCullough Robertson.
The AMEC Media Award nominees are Michelle Stanley (ABC), Wally Graham (Resources Roadhouse), Rachel Puppazoni (ABC News) and Matt McKenzie (WA Business News).
The winner of each category will be announced at the upcoming AMEC Awards Dinner on Thursday, December 8 at Optus Stadium in Perth.
"I would like to acknowledge and congratulate all the companies and individuals who nominated for these awards, and recognise those who have been selected as finalists," AMEC CEO Warren Pearce said.
"Once again we had a high calibre of entrants into the six categories and we look forward to celebrating with everyone at the presentation ceremony next month."
