Alicanto Minerals says the impending maiden resource estimate for its Sala project in Sweden has been given a huge boost, with one of the final holes returning a peak 2.8m at 12.7% zinc and 22 grams per tonne silver from 519m. The same hole that included 2.5m at 1.6% zinc, 173gpt silver and 2.8% lead at 554m, and 4.1m at 4.5% zinc and 14gpt silver from 587m, confirming the presence of high-grade mineralisation in the gap between the Sala and Prince lodes.
Drilling at the Sala north-west extension returned 3.8m at 653gpt silver, 0.3% zinc, and 2.6% lead, plus 1.9m at 164gpt silver, 0.6% zinc, and 2.3% lead. The work also extended the strike of the Prince lode to 750m, to a depth of 600m.
The company, which secured the historical mining area 18 months ago said the "exceptional" grades were consistent with past production records.
The total resource at Antilles Gold's La Demajagua gold-silver deposit in Cuba has been expanded by 25% to 10.3 million tonnes grading 2.74gpt gold and 29.3gpt silver for 908,000 ounces gold and 9.7Moz silver.
The addition of 188,000oz, based on a US$2000/oz pit shell, could extend the mine life from six to eight years.
A definitive feasibility study is planned for release in November. Proposed drilling on a potential underground is likely to be delayed until 2028.
Pan Asia Metals has delivered a maiden inferred resource for its Reung Kiet prospect, Thailand, of 10.4Mt at 0.44% lithium, 0.4% tin, 0.009% tantalum, 0.16% rubidium, and 0.02% caesium for 113,000t of lithium carbonate equivalent, using a 0.25% lithium cut-off.
The lepidolite deposit remains open along strike and at depth. A resource update and scoping study into a potential open pit are planned for later this year.
The company is keen to boost the grade by targeting the pegmatite dykes and avoiding lower grade material that diluted the overall grade based on earlier modelling.
Drilling at American Rare Earths' Halleck Creek project in Wyoming, USA, has delivered total rare earth oxides at grades of up to 11,981 parts per million.
The company, which considers Halleck Creek to be one of the largest rare earths deposits in North America, has reported intersections such as 98.6m at 4115ppm TREO and 94.6m at 4435ppm, with magnet rare earths at around 26% TREO and low levels of thorium and uranium.
ARR now says its original exploration target of 308-385Mt at 2330-2912ppm "appears to be significantly underestimated", given the mineralised zones are much thicker than expected. A maiden resource is due soon.
Global Lithium and Breaker Resources have delivered promising assays from the latest RC drilling at the 9.9Mt at 1.14% Manna project near Kalgoorlie, with intercepts such as 15m at 0.91% lithium from 221m, including 3m at 1.39%, validating prior work and confirming continuity continues at depth.
Diamond drilling has now commenced, targeting pegmatites at depths.
Global secured an 80% interest earlier this year, and commenced a 20,000m RC drilling program soon after. It is the first drilling since 2018.
Finally, Turaco Gold's testing of the 7km by 4km Bouake North permit, within the Eburnea project, central in Cote d'Ivoire, and delivered encouraging assays such as 3m at 35.8gpt gold from 40m, 2m at 3.9gpt from 27m, and 7m at 1.8gpt from surface, including 4m at 3gpt.
The shallow reconnaissance drilling at Bouake North has so far tested two of six auger anomalies.
