Chinese funds for battery project

WITH the Chinese government’s latest Five Year Plan encouraging renewable energy usage and predicted to increase demand for lithium-ion batteries, Galaxy Resources says five Chinese banks are interested in providing up to $US145 million ($A135.85 million) to fund its proposed battery plant in Jiangsu Province.
