Technical and feasibility studies continue, as do offtake discussions with European battery makers.

Talga has been working in graphite for more than a decade, with a mining scoping study completed in 2014.

Current ambitions include the Vittangi anode project moving towards total plus-100,000tpa anode production by 2025-2026, which Talga says would see it become one of the largest lithium-ion battery anode producers outside China.

Talga had cash at the end of December of A$23.3 million.

A subsequent $40 million raising in February priced new shares at $1.55 each.

Shares in Talga were trading at $1.63 this week, capitalising the company at $588 million.
