One of four categories in the fifth annual MNN Awards, the CEO of the Year Award, sponsored by Vocus, recognises standout value creation in the period between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021.

We'll assess the extent of a company's enterprise value shift in the qualifying period, but also take into account a range of external and internal factors that may have figured in the value shift, including changes in commodity prices, significant sector and/or market specific changes, currency movements, and other macro (economic/political, exploration success, and corporate changes, M&A, etc).

We will also examine factors such as the overall relative quality of company senior management teams, and the base from which a company's value has changed.

We are inviting readers to nominate (and yes, you can nominate yourself).

Last year's winner was Ramelius Resources managing director Mark Zeptner.

It only takes a minute to fill out the nomination form, which can be found here.

Nominations close on June 30, with finalists to be announced in early July and winners later in the month.
