OzAurum managing director Andrew Pumphrey hosted a series of helicopter flights over the course of the week, with the 4-5 person visits taking off from Kalgoorlie and heading out over the Super Pit before continuing east towards Patricia, which sits adjacent to Northern Star Resources' Carosue Dam operation, as part of an approximately two and half hour round trip.
OzAurum is undertaking its maiden 28-hole RC drilling campaign at Patricia, which is about 40km north-east of the company's Mulgabbie project, with the aim of discovering further high-grade gold mineralisation.
A diamond drilling program has also been planned at Patricia and is due to commence once a suitable diamond drill rig has been secured. In addition, the company acquired a 100% interest in an adjoining exploration licence from Revolution Mining for cash consideration of A$75,000.
Pumphrey told MNN that he played host to a range of stakeholders over the course of the week, including Paul Howard from Canaccord Genuity, amongst several key finance and investment contacts.
Pumphrey also took advantage of the flights and, fortunately, excellent weather conditions during Diggers to engage professional cameramen JT Taylor to shoot a wealth of aerial and mine footage, for use with subsequent marketing efforts and investor presentations.
MNN visited the Patricia mine as a guest of OzAurum.
