The 59-year-old worker died in the rock fall at Norseman's Harlequin mine.
The Department of Mines and Petroleum issued two prohibition notices, one each for the Harlequin and Bullen underground mines during an investigation.
Norseman said the DMP had lifted the notice over the Bullen mine, allowing for the resumption of mining this week
The company said it was cooperating with the DMP in its investigation and was addressing the outstanding issues relating to the prohibition notice over Harlequin.
The fatality and suspension of mining was another blow for troubled Norseman, which put its operating subsidiary in administration in late 2012 and had only been able to continue operations due to the support of shareholder Tulla Resources Group.
Norseman had already slashed the workforce of its operations from 250 down to just 37.
The company recently said the Norseman operation was unviable without the discovery of a new orebody and it might look to transition back to an explorer.
Shares in Norseman have been suspended since 2012.
