Operations were suspended following the death of 42-year-old Rodney Criddle on September 2 in a rock fall associated with a minor tremor which measured 0.7 on the Richter scale.
The decision to resume mining the upper levels was made following a review by the company and the WA Department of Minerals and Energy.
The upper levels of the underground mine have not been subject to seismic activity or damage.
Investigations and reviews of seismic activity and workforce safety in the lower levels of the mine are continuing with the objective of re-establishing production.
New Hampton expects its Big Bell Gold Operations to meet production targets for the September quarter with increased output from the Cuddingwarra Black Swan open pits.
Forecast gold production for the current financial year of 350,000 ounces is also expected to be met with increased production from the Black Swan pits and two new pits, Golden Gate and Rheingold at Cuddingwarra.
