Rio's $1B spending spree

IN a little over nine months since giving the A$2 billion Western Range iron ore development in Western Australia's Pilbara the green light joint venture partners Rio Tinto (54%) and China Baowu Steel (46%) estimate contracts for half of that have been awarded to WA businesses so far.
