Kerman will build a new storage facility for Talison at the inner harbour of Bunbury port.

The scope comprises the construction of a 50,000 tonne bulk storage facility with associated inload and outload material handling circuits.

The facility will be used to store spodumene concentrate prior to loading onto bulk ships via the existing port's ship loader.

The new facility will add capacity to Talison's existing storage at the port as the Greenbushes mine expands.

Construction is underway for completion in October 2019.

"We are very pleased to secure this construction contract directly with Talison Lithium and it complements our company's strong focus on the significant expansion of the lithium industry in Western Australia," Kerman managing director Chris Kerman said.

Kerman recently won a $20 million contract as part of the Greenbushes expansion, and is also working on Tianqi Lithium's Kwinana hydroxide plant.

Tianqi owns 51% of Talison.
