SEW-Eurodrive promises to impress AIMEX visitors with its extensive range of heavy-duty technologies and courses.

Industrial motor and drive specialist SEW-Eurodrive will showcase a range of locally assembled and serviced products at AIMEX.

SEW-Eurodrive is one of Asia-Pacific's largest providers of motors and drives.

Visitors to AIMEX can view SEW's range of gear units, geared motors and complete drive assemblies - all designed for heavy-duty applications with high-transmitted loads.

SEW-Eurodrive industrial gears national products manager Ian Tribe said the modularity and high power-density of his company's gear unit range made them suitable for a range of mining applications.

"Our heavy industrial solutions range delivers extremely compact and versatile drive options for Australia's natural resources and heavy engineering industries," he said. Additionally, SEW-Eurodrive will promote its complete drive assemblies for heavy industry, including gear units, motors, drive bases and guardings.

"One thing our customers don't want is to have to go from supplier to supplier to order each component," Tribe said.

"We engineer and assemble complete drive assemblies locally, providing our customers with ease-of-ordering, quick turn-around times, local servicing and an efficient end system."

Another gear product appearing at AIMEX will be the X-series unit, which SEW-Eurodrive says has the finest torque graduation on the market.

"We assemble and service our heavy industrial solutions range here in Australia," Tribe said.

"This, combined with the modular design of the units and our extensive local stock holdings, allows our clients to receive their orders within weeks, rather than waiting months for the units to be shipped from overseas."

With Australian headquarters in Melbourne, Victoria, SEW-Eurodrive offers its customers a nationwide motor and drive technology training program.

Dubbed DriveAcademy, the course offers users and system integrators the skills needed to operate SEW-Eurodrive's motor and drive technologies and applications.

SEW has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The company will exhibit on stand 1311 at AIMEX.
