Crane and platform sales boost Terex results

CONSTRUCTION and mining equipment giant Terex says its third-quarter profit nearly doubled, reaching $US101 million, compared to net income of $51.9 million for the third quarter of 2005, as sales across its product line rose, especially for aerial work platforms and cranes.
