The value of the engineering, procurement and construction contract is $90 million.

Sedgman previously completed the definitive feasibility study on the proposed 1.2 million tonne per annum Mungari plant.

“Sedgman have worked closely with La Mancha to successfully deliver early-phase solutions for the La Mancha project,” Sedgman managing director and chief executive officer Nick Jukes said.

“The award of the EPC contract is a significant project and demonstrates our commitment to building a stronger service offering targeting metals.”

The Mungari plant will process a blend of ore from La Mancha’s Frog’s Leg and White Foil mines.

La Mancha recently announced plans to buy Alacer Gold Corporation’s 49% interest in Frog’s Leg and boost production from White Foil, prompting the decision to move ahead with construction of the mill.

That is expected to start in April ahead of completion early next year.

Sedgman shares fell half a cent to $1.13.
