Viento wins BHP work

VIENTO Group has been awarded a $A7.9 million contract by BHP Billiton Iron Ore at the Yandi mine...

The work is for the refurbishment of the Yandi OHP substation and will be carried out by Viento subsidiary Power Infrastructure Services (Powins).

Viento executive chairman Ray Munro said the contract was a milestone for the turnkey supply of power services for the group.

“Viento and Powins look forward to the safe and efficient delivery of the contract,” he said.

“Powins have the combined expertise to deliver large-scale projects and we look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead for this division.”

Viento shares were unchanged at 12c, while BHP shares last traded 0.2% lower at $33.78.
