The Hagenhof project is said to have the potential to host large scale sediment-hosted copper-cobalt mineralisation.
Exploration undertaken by Phelps Dodge in the 1970s included seven diamond core holes with best assays of 18m grading 0.9% copper from 93m and 24m at 0.88% copper from 74m - with a peak cobalt value of 1200 parts per million.
Outcropping mineralisation was recently mapped and sampled by Tanga, with visible malachite mineralisation assaying up 3.24% copper and 303ppm cobalt - as well as 0.6 grams per tonne gold.
Further soil sampling assays are awaited.
The exploration project covers 197sq.km and is said by Tanga to be drill-ready.
Meanwhile Tanga is getting ready to drill its Joumbira zinc project, also located in Namibia, and acquired in June.
Tanga started the current quarter with A$720,000 cash.
Shares in Tanga were trading this week at 0.8c, capitalising the company at $5.8 million.
