ASIC charges mining promotor with stealing

VETERAN Western Australian mining promotor Dean George Scook is potentially facing decades behind bars after the Australian Securities and Investments Commission accused him of multiple counts of stealing and acting as a shadow director for privately-run explorer Rock Mining Australia.

On 11 occasions between August 2018 and June 2019 the Victoria Park man is alleged to have stolen some A$675,000 while an officer of the company. The maximum penalty for each charge is 10 years' imprisonment....
