Hronsky is director and principal of Western Mining Services and is on the boards of Encounter Resources and Cassini Resources, as well as general partner, global targeting and research for Ibaera Capital.
He is chairman of the University of Western Australia's Centre for Exploration Targeting and is adjunct professor of Macquarie University.
Hronsky is involved with a number of mining and exploration-related research organisations and industry associations, including serving as chairman of the Australian Geoscience Council since 2013.
BHP director and Orica chairman Malcolm Broomhead was named an Officer (AO) in the general division for distinguished service to business and mining, and through financial support for education and medical research.
Professor Ross Large from the University of Tasmania also received an AO for distinguished service to education, and to scientific research in the field of economic geology.
