Middle Island Resources (ASX: MDI) is into its maiden drilling programme at the Sandstone gold project in Western Australia after “jumping from the bottom of the Fraser Institute [jurisdiction risk] survey to the top in one move”, abandoning a fraught and ultimately fruitless push for gold cash-flow in Niger and finalising a low-cost deal with administrators of the Sandstone assets.
