The awards were handed out as part of the Mines and Money Asia conference in Hong Kong.
Zijin was awarded Best Asia-Pacific Mining Company hours after executive director George Fang presented at the conference.
The other nominees were IRC and Minmetals.
Best Australian Mining Company went to Northern Star, beating out companies like Doray Minerals.
Northern Star boss Bill Beament was also awarded Asia-Pacific Mining CEO of the year, which he collected in person.
Beament beat out a long list of nominees including Evolution’s Jake Klein, Doray’s Allan Kelly, OceanaGold’s Mick Wilkes and S2 Resources’ Mark Bennett.
Best Asia-Pacific Mining Deal went to Evolution for its transformative Cowal and Mungari acquisitions.
Director Jim Askew accepted the award.
Mines and Money global head content, product and strategy Andrew Thake said the organisers had received a large number of nominations for the awards.
“Congratulations to the winners for their outstanding endeavours and respective achievements, which helped distinguish them from the more than 60 nominations that were vigorously adjudicated by the judging panel,” he said.
