However, the number of Aussies dropped from 29% of the total in the 2013 report, as South Africa, Canada and the US boosted their numbers.
The list featured women in a range of different roles, from boardroom to mine, who were nominated by peers since March.
The number of women in services roles soared to 40% from 27% two years ago.
“An ever-growing body of research shows that gender-balanced teams create better outcomes, better solutions and improved financial performance,” BMO Capital Markets vice president, UK corporate broking and ECM Jennifer Wyllie said.
“Today’s list of inspiring women in mining shows that real progress is being made. There are now multiple role models who prove that women can and do succeed in building interesting and rewarding careers in mining.”
