Power claims 'substantial' boost to Salta resources

More than 100% in resources with maiden brine estimate for Incahuasi

Drilling at the Incahuasi Salar has delivered a maiden resource of 249,308 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent grading 198 milligrams per litre within the Sisifo licence.

The addition of Incahuasi has doubled Power's total resources at Salta to 488,308t LCE.

It next plans pumping well tests to assess flow rates and obtain bulk brine samples for process work, including trials using the Sunresin direct lithium extraction process.

The rig is now drilling on the Rincon Salar, with the expectation resources can be elevated even further in short order.

Additional resource growth is expected as Power works up a resource based on prior drilling for the Laguna Verde project once it completes the acquisition of the asset from Ultra Lithium.

Power managing director Mena Habib said the company had several development and corporate options based on its growing resources, including with nearby peer projects.

Its neighbours include Rio Tinto, Allkem and Ganfeng Lithium.

The Ultra all-scrip deal, announced last week, will add 2600sq.km of tenure in the Lithium Triangle, making Power one of the largest acreage owners.

Shares in the junior were off 6% today at 50c, capitalising it at $36 million.

The stock has traded in the range of 26.5-77.5c over the past year.
