'World-class' mineral sands project for MRG not yet exciting investors

MRG Metals says it has confirmed a "world-class" heavy mineral sands deposit in Mozambique at Koko Massava.

'World-class' mineral sands project for MRG not yet exciting investors

An indicated 557 million tonnes at 5.1% total heavy mineral has been estimated, with inferred tonnage coming in at just less than 1 billion tonnes.

The resources include a high grade zone of 103Mt grading 6.6% THM that is subject to a pit optimisation study now underway.

The deposit is "exceptionally homogenous".

Despite the evident positives the market, thus far at least, remains unenthused.

In October MRG said its "current carket cap of circa $15 million does not reflect over $15 billion of contained inground value of resources identified to date".

Not helping matters at the moment would be the fact the company will be on the hunt for cash.

At the end June MRG reported it had A$1.6 million cash.

Shares in MRG closed Thursday unchanged at 1.1c, capitalising the junior at $17 million.
