Norwest said the 2.92 million tonnes grading 1 grams per tonne for 93,880oz resource included indicated resources of 2Mt grading 1gpt for 66,230oz in "primarily softer near-surface material".

Bulgera is next door to Vango's long-emerging Marymia prospect and near the Plutonic operation.

Aside from Bulgera, Norwest's exploration portfolio takes in the early stage Arunta West tenure of Northern Territory.

Norwest started the year with $2.7 million cash.

Shares in Norwest were unchanged at 15c in early trade, capitalising the company at $12.5 million.
