Tietto bonanza grades continue

Shallow wide high‐grade intervals being hit in section after section as open pit scenario firming

Tietto is drilling 4500m per month.

Tietto is drilling 4500m per month.

The Côte d'Ivoire drilling also hit 82m at 3.14gpt from 26m, including 26m at 9.48gpt.

The latest results have helped extend the emerging shallow gold discovery between a number of drilling lines, with grades of more than 200 gram-metres.

The company is running three diamond rigs on double shifts as part of a 30,000m program aimed at upgrading the Abujar project's 1.7 million ounce resource later this quarter.

The focus is on the 1.4km-long core of the deposit, which contains 1.06Moz of the company's resources.

The junior says its rigs continue to hit wide high‐grade intervals "section after section".

"Since May 2019, we have almost doubled the number of +50 gold gram‐metres to 31 intervals reporting greater than 50 gold gram‐metres," managing director Caigen Wang said.

"We now have at least 500m of ultra‐high grade results from surface between lines 24 and 29 at AG, suggesting potential for a high‐grade open pittable gold resource with robust project economics."

The shallow mineralisation is above 100m, and the deeper drilling is testing for extensions below 300m.

The rigs are now drilling between lines 22 and 15, with around 4500m being drilled per month.

The junior, which is the first company to explore the area, believes Abujar will grow into a multi‐million‐ounce gold resource.

The mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth.

Tietto shares were up 13.5% this afternoon to A25c, close to its 12-month peak of 27c.

The company was capitalised at $55 million.
