Prominent Hill power restored

The mine was suspended earlier this month due to storms which left all of South Australia without power.

Generators provided limited power to the site, with open pit operations continuing unaffected.

Processing was halted and only limited underground mining took place.

OZ has maintained full-year copper guidance of 115,000-125,000 tonnes.

But gold production is set to be within or below the lower end of guidance of 125,000-135,000 ounces of gold.

OZ will release its quarterly report next Friday.

Other SA miners and processors including BHP Billiton, Arrium and Nyrstar, were impacted by the storms.

OZ shares closed A9c lower at $5.88 yesterday.
