The company said spherical graphite was produced from the first preliminary testwork undertaken on samples from the project, with the testing carried out in Germany.

The sample came from a small historic digging at the project and Anson is now keen to gain approvals to drill priority targets generated by at VTEM aerial survey.

Anson’s MD is Bruce Richardson, a former trade commissioner from the Australian Embassy in Beijing.

Richardson is said to have spent over 30 years developing business opportunities in China, is fluent in Mandarin, and who among things, was general manager of Foster’s when that company’s brewery in Shanghai was doubled in capacity, as well as general manager of UK-based Bulmers production and marketing operations in China.

Shares in Anson have been enjoying good gains in recent days and were up 22% to A3.7c in late trade today. The stock started the month at 1.9c.
