Lynas Find is 100km south of Port Hedland.

Dakota is one of a swarm of juniors in the region in the wake of the lithium boom and early success of Pilbara Minerals.

Shares in Dakota were up nearly 12% to A6.7c in late trade, capitalising the company at $21.5 million.

Dakota’s shares are triple what they were 12 months ago, but well down on the 26.5c they spiked to back in May.

The company started the September quarter with $14.3 million cash, with $12 million of that raised in May when shares were issued at 20c.
