Rio, Hancock to expand Hope Downs

RIO Tinto has taken the first steps to increase iron ore output in the Pilbara to 220 million tonnes by 2009, giving the thumbs up, along with Hancock Prospecting, to a $US350 million ($A410 million) fast-tracked expansion to the Hope Downs iron ore project.
