Whitehaven expert strips Ferndale resource

WHITEHAVEN Coal’s independent expert’s resource estimate for the Ferndale underground mine in New South Wales is less than a third of that reported by Coalworks’ expert in February, casting doubt on the project's JORC-compliant 743 million tonnes total resource.
