Majors unveil $3.7B Escondida expansion

TWO of the world’s largest miners have approved a combined $US4 billion ($A3.7 billion) investment to increase production from the Escondida copper mine in Chile to beyond 1.3 million tonnes per annum by the 2015 financial year.
