LATEST quarterly figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows a 7.7% jump in exploration in the three months to June 30 to $A610.8 million, seasonally adjusted.

The figure is a 23.7% jump on the same period in 2009. The biggest rise was in Western Australia, up $29.4 million or 9.1%, followed by Queensland, which posted an $18.4 million or 18.2% increase. ...
