AMIDST the ongoing takeover drama with BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto has aggressively promoted its growth plans around the world. Rio's chief executive of minerals and energy, Preston Chiaro, continued the theme at the 2008 Mining Indaba in South Africa, pitching the company's plans for its African uranium, iron ore and coal projects. <I>MiningNews.net</I> spoke to Chiaro in Cape Town.
