As with previous years, the awards have a large judging panels to ensure diversity of views and address any potential conflicts.

Dr Allan Trench, MBA director and professor at the UWA Business School, a non-executive director of several ASX-listed minerals companies and the Perth representative for CRU Consulting
Barry FitzGerald, one of Australia's leading resources journalists
Richard Morrow, financial advisor at EL&C Baillieu and chairman of the Melbourne Mining Club
Hedley Widdup, investment manager of Lion Selection Group
Liam Twigger, managing director of PCF Capital Group and chairman of SolGold
John Sykes, strategist for MinEx Consulting, a director of Greenfields Research, a lecturer at UWA Business School and an MNN columnist
Cian Caffrey, associate director of RFC Ambrian
Chairing the judging panel is MNN editor Kristie Batten, with reporter Michael Quinn and Perth-based Mining Journal reporter Ngaire McDiarmid to also have their say.
The judging process is well underway, with the winners of the 2021 MNN Awards to be announced next week.
