Canavan quits amid Nationals turmoil

THE Australian resources sector is temporarily without cabinet representation after resources minister Matt Canavan quit yesterday to support a failed attempt by his mentor, Barnaby Joyce, to seize leadership of the National Party in the latest round of Canberra’s favourite blood sport.
