Pima gets new power source, SA Govt committed to energy reform

Pima Mining, operator of the $800 million South Australian SAMAG magnesium project, has signed an agreement to buy its power from NRG Flinders. The company will get its power from NRG’s Port Augusta power station, which is set to undergo a $150 million upgrade to help it meet the project’s 170 megawatt annual demand “at world-competitive prices”.
