McArthur River expansion gets NT Govt approval

THE Northern Territory Government has given the green light to Zug-based mining giant Xstrata for the controversial $A110 million underground expansion of the McArthur River zinc and lead mine, allowing it to operate for an additional 25 years in which time it is anticipated to inject $13 billion into the Australian economy.
