The MoU involves the two companies looking to "explore possibilities to produce ‘tailor-made' natural graphite concentrate samples and products" from BlackEarth's Maniry project in Madagascar for supply to RHIM.
High-grade refractory products, systems and solutions are said to be critical for high-temperature processes exceeding 1200°C in a wide range of industries, including steel, cement, non-ferrous metals and glass.
RHIM is a vertically integrated business reported to have about 13,000 employees and 70 sales offices.
BlackEarth started the current quarter with A$1.1 million cash.
Shares in BlackEarth were trading this week at 4.6c, capitalising the company at $5.2 million.
