“Steady and record breaking production coupled with Largo's ability to produce vanadium at a low cost shows the company’s dedication to the success of the Maracás Menchen mine,” Largo president and CEO Mark Smith said.
Production dipped to 746t in August due to “instrumentation issues with the deammoniator in the beginning of the month as well as scheduled maintenance at the plant”.
“As the issue with the deammoniator and scheduled maintenance were addressed and completed, the company solidly produced at or above nameplate capacity for the remainder of the month,” Smith said.
