Two more developers join ASX 200

Lots of new additions in quarterly indices rebalance

As announced by S&P Dow Jones Indices earlier this month, the quarterly rebalance of ASX indices has made way for Pilbara gold explorer De Grey Mining and Congo lithium developer AVZ Minerals to join the ASX 200.

De Grey has a market capitalisation of A$1.81 billion. Shares are up about 14.5% over the past year, closing at $1.30 on Friday.

The stock peaked at over $1.60 last year when the company reported a maiden 6.8 million ounce Hemi gold deposit in the Pilbara.

AVZ closed more than 8% higher at 91.5c on Friday, not far off its all-time high of 99.5c.

The stock has gained more than 300% over the past 12 months as it advances its Manono lithium project in the DRC towards production.

AVZ will also join the ASX 300.

Recently listed copper miner 29Metals has joined the ASX 300 and All Ordinaries, as will gold miner Firefinch, Darwin developer Core Lithium and lithium play Sayona Mining.

Graphite producer Syrah Resources and cobalt miner Jervois Global are now part of the ASX 300.

Iron ore producer Mount Gibson Iron, services provider Emeco Holdings and lithium developer Piedmont Lithium will be removed.

There are also a large number of mining stocks joining the All Ordinaries, including Bill Beament's Develop and Raleigh Finlayson's Genesis Minerals.

Other names now a part of the index are copper-gold producer Aeris Resources, Metals X, Lake Resources, Argosy Minerals and Galan Lithium, uranium plays Boss Energy, Deep Yellow and Lotus Resources, Arafura Resources, BCI Minerals, Neometals, Queensland Pacific Metals, Ecograf and Magnis Energy Technologies, OreCorp, Newfield Resources, Predictive Discovery, Tigers Realm Coal, strandline Resources, Rumble Resources, Renascor Resources

In the METS sector, recapitalised driller Boart Longyear and rival DDH1, as well as GR Engineering Services are now in the All Ords.

Gold companies Calidus Resources, Dacian Gold, Ora Banda Mining, Tribune Resources, Wiluna Mining Corporation, Auteco Minerals, DGO Gold, Catalyst Metals, Geopacific Resources, Musgrave Minerals and Nova Minerals have been removed from the All Ords.

Also losing their place are developers Sunrise Energy Metals, Flinders Mines, Greenland Minerals, Northern Minerals and Highfield Resources, and explorers Legend Mining, Minerals 260 and Stavely Minerals.
