Gold stock hammered by greenback attracted markets

ON A poor day for the gold patch overall hearty congratulations to the ASX’s newest gold miner, West African Resources, which yesterday in Burkina Faso poured its first bar. Meanwhile having a good day on the market was De Grey Mining, which’ll be hoping to pour its first gold in a couple of years in the Pilbara. Leader for the day DGO is De Grey’s major shareholder, though its headline gain came on very limited turnover.
