Zinc producers among base metal leaders

WITH the risk tone turned back on, base metal stocks enjoyed a bit of buying including New South Wales zinc miner Heron which reported it was now delivering ore from its new underground mine to its new plant. Other zinc stocks in positive territory included Red River and New Century, with zinc futures up in Asia trade and the zinc price having also gained on the LME in the session overnight.
