Patch in demand as bullion gains

GOLD stocks were in favour after the US Fed decision to cut interest rates with the better performers in the ASX patch being Alacer and Pantoro. According to one analyst Alacer is rapidly moving towards a net cash position thanks to its operations skills in Turkey, while Pantoro had some exploration success to report.
