Miners hit amid wider sell-off

A DAY of mourning meant there was no lead from the US for today’s trading session, but taking the lead from falls of over 3% on Wall Street earlier in the week saw key Asian markets down today with Japan’s Nikkei off almost 2.4% and the Hang Seng off about 2.6%.
