The miner’s Chatree operation in Thailand produced 18,679 ounces last month, as it heads towards closure this month.
The closure is a function of a directive from Thai authorities earlier this year.
There has been a slight hint in recent weeks that this decision could be changed, though Kingsgate has been operating Chatree as a mine closure scenario for much of 2016.
In other words, ensuring it maximises its return and pays off debt.
All debt related to Chatree is expected to be repaid by the end of the month.
Kingsgate’s focus is now a potential silver-gold development in Chile – Nueva Esperanza.
Shares in Kingsgate were up 2% to 23.5c in early trade, capitalising the company at $43.6 million.
