Macquarie: Thermal coal oversupply in China

THE latest data on China’s October coal production levels have led Macquarie Research to calculate an 18.8% growth in raw coal available in the nation’s vast thermal coal market compared to October last year, putting thermal coal into oversupply as domestic demand plummets.
