Newmont unveils growth path

NEWMONT Mining shares climbed to an almost six-year high in New York last night after the world’s biggest gold producer said it expected gold sales to rise 5.5% to 7.7 million ounces in 2007 from 7.3Moz in 2003, and forecast gold reserves in Ghana would double to 10Moz by year-end.
