Sumitomo may cut copper output: report

JAPAN’S third-largest copper smelter, Sumitomo Metal Mining, has said it may decrease production in the half-year to March after a mudslide at Freeport’s massive Grasberg copper-gold mine in Indonesia squeezed an already tight raw material supply even further.
